Questions 20 to 26 explain the Nicene Creed's confession of the Holy Spirit as Lord and giver of life. Learn how the Spirit leads us to repentance, gives new life, and comforts and equips Christians. The lesson explains the creed's language about the Father and the Son, Basil of Caesarea's defense of the Spirit's divinity, and the Council of Constantinople in 381 AD. It then turns to biblical inspiration, the sufficiency of Scripture, and the Holy Spirit's help in understanding it. The updated teaching includes the 2026 Articles of Faith's statement about Scripture's truth, trustworthiness, and authority for faith and practice.
